Greetings!
Just want to write this as one of reasons why at times Smartbro Canopy slows down....
Well this is just one and as of now, other reasons might be the current issue of the "Fair Use Policy". But what I will share would be another reason why your Smartbro Canopy might be still slow even when calling their Call Centers for days and nothing is happening....
Well, here's my case and it's actually the second time around it happened... The first was a long time ago.. perhaps two years before... and it happened again now, which never occurred to me at first....
I called the *1888 for days asking why still my net is slow at the first day of the month of August 2013.... and reading about the FUP issue, made me think the System of Smartbro is really busted or with a glitch (which made my previous post).... after a week without any solution and them not sending their technicians.... I decided to apply for Globe WiMax instead since, PLDT DSL and lined internet seem to be of no avail in our location.... Good thing a Globe Agent was patient enough to give my location a try... since previously they wouldn't take my case... which I believe wrote about it too the last time...
So after being connected with Globe WiMax, the net was good... although I must say... my net was only at 1 Mbps... but it's good... But surety I will continue to monitor it... if it's really good....
Then suddenly I checked my Smartbro line, alas!!!! My cable or the wire connected to the canopy antenna is wet in the inside... causing at the edge of the cable or the end of the cable connected to their power adaptor is short circuited or kind of burned up! don't know the technical terms so I'll just describe it as what I know it looks like... and I just remembered this happened way back years.... So I called out *1888 again telling of the situation... and still, their protocols ..... =.= ..... I hate it when they ask me to wait for 24 hours again.. but no can do... the CSR told me that my previous reports or complains wasn't closed yet, so they have to close first my previous case before they send their techs..... *AAAH!!! can't believe it after a week of no output or resolution???? .... =.=
Oh well, might as well give a try and have patience and let's see if changing my busted cables and adaptors will do the trick.... but I think it is.... as it was the same situation we had before...
So that's one reason why one's net on Smartbro Canopy might be slowed down and not always because of the FUP.... just saying.... but if my net will be still slowed down after they've changed it?
Well I think it's a bye bye Smartbro.... It's useless using a System that is not doing what it's supposed to do....

How to save files in a FAKE iPHONE 4S as of August 2013
Recently my mother was fooled buying a iPHONE 4S.... at first glanced the iPHONE 4S looks exactly as it is... but as I continued to handle and looked into it... I wondered why the camera has a low resolution.... I tried looking for settings... alas!!! there is not much settings... and as I continue to explore it the more I am resolved it was a fake iPHONE 4S....
Nevertheless the video player is quite something or perhaps the display is pretty cool on display. but still of course I wouldn't recommend such fake phone.... But if you guys also have been fooled.... here's just one tip in saving files in the fake phone... which says 64GB but actually just a 4GB capacity...
searching from the net is really tedious but perhaps sharing in this blog would better benefit others... so with regards to saving file in the phone. simply put-off the phone and then re-start it. you will be brought in an option, one to indicate to charge, while another saying "U-disk"... select that option then automatically the computer will detect the phone's memory SD or whatever... usually a fake iPHONE 4S has no manual nor a box... so surely you will need to search other's experiences and usual comments or advices from others... So here's just some shared knowledge I too received from others.

SmartBro Canopy as of August 2013
Oh, well pasensya nalang...
kind of frustrated and feeling angry or in tagalog nai-inis sa serbisyo ng
SmartBro this time... Reason why I want to write it down. Just my way of taking
out my stress. Writing...
Well recently, of course we've
already heard and know about the FUP of SmartBro Canopy which is really aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh..
(pasensya)... It just really pains that this kind of situation is probably only
in the Philippines. It's so frustrating and irritating or annoying... and it's
just sad that it seems there is nothing else that could be done especially if
there are no other better alternatives. Although Globe broadband is a possible
one, but also has their own downsides as well as for other internet service
providers. It seems there is no really better alternatives. But I at least
could appreciate the transparency of Globe compared to Smart, as Smart is
not definite on what or how much is
their data limit capacity as of now. We're simply left off hanging...
I've been also searching and
google-ing other complains and other feedbacks on Smartbro's new FUP and also
with regards to their new plans and it seems all throughout history, it's all
complains... I am quite patient though with SmartBro, probably because there is
no option in my location... PLDT and Globe WiMax is to no avail... By the way,
I'm in a purok Pongi-an of a Barangay called Loakan Proper, part of Baguio
City. And our home location seem to dislike other ISPs or in other words, there
are no slots available or our place can't probably reached by other ISPs or
probably they're just plain lazy to go to our place. We've been connected to Smartbro
for quite a long time already (not sure how long, 8? 9? 10?)... and I have been
patiently always calling them like every after 2 months when our net got slow.
This time I had to call them
almost every day for I think 3-4 days now, because beginning August 2-3, 2013
suddenly our net got slowed down. August 1, 2013 was great, we were able to chat
with our sister abroad and the day after it got slowed down. So I called up the
*1888 and after a while, checking, etc.. the speed got up... and thinking that
it was ok... just after the call... it slowed down again... probably having a 0.19
- 0.20 Mbps.... I thought, it might be a glitch, but monitoring throughout the
day and night, we had consistent internet but the speed was just as I have said
"0.19 - 0.20 Mbps." By the way the CSR confirmed me that by August 1
or 2 (i think), they have just applied the 2Mbps for plan 999 which my
subscription is under it. And yet, currently it seems there is a mistake... I
said maybe it's not 2Mbps but 0.2Mbps!!!????
The day after, I called again
*1888, and they said it's unusual that my net is consistent yet slowed down.
And I got to believe, my speed was indeed throttled down, because of their FUP.
BUT! understanding that it will be throttled down after consuming their
supposed Data Cap Limit, can a day or even a week use up all those data limit? I
can't remember downloading any big files recently. I did download big files but
I used my globe tattoo USB for that but not the Smartbro connection. So why
indeed is my net slowed down? The CSR sent mail to the support group and his
supervisor as he said it will be acted upon ASAP. He asked me to follow up by
the afternoon, but I wasn't able to do so. So just monitoring then and on the
next day to no avail nothing new happened. It was still slow BUT consistent
internet.
In the morning I tried to
speedtest.net again and alas!!! I have a stable connection but now? Inconsistent
speed. I had a consistent 20-25ms, inconsistent 0.12-1.79 Mbps download speed,
and consistent 0.19-0.20 upload speed. Whereas from 30 tests, only one (1) 1.79
or should i say only 1 reached more than 1.5 Mbps, others were lower than
1.5Mbps. And to probably average those
tests would range from 0.3 - 0.4 Mbps. I tried restarting my computer, and
alas!!! it was now consistent download speed which is ranging from 0.19 - 0.20
Mbps.... Which made me to decide to contact *1888 again...
So same as last time, all is
well but it is unusual that I have such a weird measure or meter of my speed
test. And when the CSR was to tell me he will be sending a follow up letter or
mail to the support group to deal with it and ask for further info on what
action was taken, then!!!! I was CUT OFF!!!! well, it's probably my low tech
phone! ARGH!!!! I wasn't sure what to do so I called again, of course a
different CSR, now a lady, took the call, after waiting for almost 15
minutes... took my info and said that can she just turn me over for the next
shift? Huh!??? OK! of course being polite, she's a lady!! ... then after
waiting for another 15-20 minutes (i think)... another lady comes in... and then
had to check my line again.... after looooong checking, she would again send
another mail to the support group for monitoring and to check my connection
again... AAAAHHH!!!! AGAIN????? Well, here's my patience seem to be dropped
off.... or say my blood pressure really rose up! Well not that I shouted at the
lady or something... I just felt the stress and rush in my head... and I was
just hoping... I wouldn't have to wait again and call them again after 24
hours.... GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!......
Hay... patience...
patience.... In the Philippines, we need a lot of patience.... Hay bottom
line... I just wanted to know why I'm receiving such a stable connection but
slow speed? ??? which they really have no answer... and it's really frustrating
and no amount of "Sorry for the inconvenience!" would seem to
appease.
SO??? I don't know....
conclusion? I'm not really sure... just a guess that as what I've been reading
all through the net that Smartbro will lose subscribers with such a system they
have.... especially being not transparent about what is really happening or
what is the real problem, and not being able to really perform what service they
proclaim they could do. This would really turn off people for that matter. Well
those that have long patience and probably really have no choice about their
circumstance may be the only ones who would stick to their program or
service... I, as of now really have no idea still what will be my decision, if
only globe wimax could reach us, well I'll probably stick to them... Although I
must say, their reputation for a stable connection is still in question with regards
to our location.... so now just a big question....
And oh yeah, got a feeling the
new system of Smartbro is really computerized but most likely have a glitch on
it... or I mean, their FUP being incorporated on their system may have a
glitch.... as truly, it is inconsistent, as it's possible that the programs
users use (skype, P2P apps, downloaders, etc...) or even routers perhaps, may
have an effect on how their system deals on each subscribers.... hehe! just a
curious and imaginative theory I have.... but seriously... this isn't gon'na
really help smartbro or their new promos... or whatsoever.... oh well, that's
just something I want to bring out.... now I feel better... But perhaps
tomorrow might be another story....
